This day also marks the 20th birthday of my beautiful physical familiar Mabon. He obtained this pagan name because I found him close to midnight, on the eve of this wonderful day. Fall Equinox and Harvest Home just didn’t sound right for a cat’s name. Maybe Equinox or Autumn, could have worked but still for this kitty, unfitting. He is definitely a Mabon.
What’s most magical, the night prior to finding Mabon, I prayed to Lucifer, asking for a physical familiar, my soul animal. I wanted to rescue a cat from the ASPCA eventually soon, but really wanted to save one off the street. I ask the Old One, to bring me a Main Coon. I always wanted a cat of this breed, beautiful and full of character. When stating my wants, I pushed my request to specifics, asking for either an all white or totally black cat. Well, within 24 hours, give or take, after praying to Lucifer to bring me this specific magical cat, I found him abandoned along side of a highway. Mabon is a Maine Coon, and as you can see from the picture shown, he’s black and white. Guess the Devil figured, she’s being really picky yet this witch can’t make up her damn mind, so there! Well, I’m not complaining. Mabon has been a blessing in my life ever since.

In this photo he took it upon himself to be my model. I was doing some creative photography for a pagan/occult magazine. The editor loved him and Mabon got to be in the issue, appearing in a few articles I might add.

Hi. I like Autumn, but tend to get depressed here in the winter. The days are cold, short and dark. I am glad Mabon is doing well. I didn’t know cats could live so long. Speaking of cats, I think there might be some truth to the old legend that crossing a black cat is bad luck, because last week there was a black cat in my path, and I even pet it. A few days later I got a strange illness, which seemed to be a combination of great weakness and anxiety. I even thought I might have contradicted the virus, which we are all familiar with. Thankfully, I am fully recovered now. I’ve crossed black cats before but never had any apparent bad luck. I hope you are safe and secure from the devastating effects of hurricane Fiona. Hi Albert! Thanks for sharing. Mabon is doing great. Yes, indoor cats can live into their 30s but that’s rare. Glad that you are better but I don’t believe it was the black cat that made you sick. That’s a silly superstition that came about through Greek mythology when Hera turned her servant into a black cat as punishment for something involving Zeus. Thanks for your concern. That hurricane is on the other side of the country. Far from me, so I’m safe and enjoying the fall weather (:

I see you have cards with the pentagram next to Mabon. A few years ago when I was reading Buckland’s book on witchcraft, I had it next to me one night when I was sleeping. It has a pentagram on the cover. That night I had an incredible lucid dream experience. I was asleep, but fully conscious. A witch kept going in and out of my room through the wall and whispering things in my ear. I don’t remember what she was saying, but she kept getting close to my ear and rambling on and on about something. She was not physical. This was a totally spiritual experience. My guess is that the pentagram image worked as a conduit to attract her into my environment. I think images like the pentagram channel supernatural beings. I hope this isn’t off topic; I just wanted to share this. Mabon looks happy and healthy.

Hi Albert. Thanks for sharing your very interesting experience. Those cards I had since the age of 16, it was my first tarot. It’s an out-of-print collectible now, I feel fortunate to own it. Pentagrams and pentacles are portals, so I’m not surprised that something opened to let that witch spirit into your environment, or that having that besides your bed, caused you to lucid dream, to begin with. You seem to be very sensitive to such phenomena, to begin with, so it’s no wonder your interest in magic and the paranormal. Thank you again for sharing (:

“Portal,” that’s the right word. I do seem sensitive to these things, especially in the dream state. Sometimes just as I am opening my eyes when awaking in the morning, I see images, which quickly vanish. Several months ago just as I awoke in the morning and opened my eyes, there was a woman hovering over my bed. She vanished the instant I saw her. This morning I saw a small demon with horns peaking at me through my bedroom window. He vanished the instant I saw him. I don’t know if this was a real entity, or a projection from my mind, but I saw it. There are objects on that window which may have acted as a portal, such as two Halloween ghosts, a Jack-o’-lantern image, and a small tombstone. I think Halloween season itself is a major portal.

All this is incredible, thanks for sharing Albert. You’re right, this season is one big portal and I suspect until into November (the month of the dead) that you’ll be seeing more flash images, maybe some with more staying power. I believe that there is no veil starting from Halloween up until the new year Jan. 1. Either way, for those of us who are sensitive to such phenomena, we can expect to experience more of it during this darker half of the year, especially around and on Halloween. Don’t forget, we are in the energy of the full moon this weekend also.

I like the term “flash images.” That is exactly what they are. I have vertical window blinds, and the demon this morning literally pulled the blind to the side at it was peaking at me. I don’t know if this was spiritual, physical or mental though. Since there’s Halloween decor on the window, the demon probably liked the environment. I spoke to a neighbor the other day and he told me that one of his neighbors saw the ghost of a little boy in her home. I live in a supernaturally charged area. I suppose the fact we are near an Indian burial ground has something to do with it. I am particularly sensitive to these energies though. Have a good weekend.

Hey Kindra, hows it going? I had another flash image this morning. As I awoke and opened my eyes, there was a young man with a beanie hat at the foot of my bed. The strange thing is that he was eating a potato chip. He turned to his left and vanished. I think he has talked to me in the past when I was semiconscious and awaking in the morning. I think he was shot as a youth and for some reason is lingering in this space.

I want to distinguish between the flash images of beings and my real ghost sightings. The flash images are when I am semi-conscious, open my eyes, and the being vanishes the instant I see it. The ghosts, on the other hand, were seen when I was awake, and they appeared for several moments. For example, the last ghosts I saw were standing next to my bed. I clearly saw them standing there. Then they turned to their right and walked through the wall. I was awake, got up, went into the other room where they would have appeared had they maintained their visibility. This actually scared me enough so that I slept with the light on for the rest of the night. Flash images never elicit this kind of reaction.

I was feeling really down this month, due to insufficient sunlight, but I got Vitamin D-3 and some Vitamin C and feel better.

I had another flash image this morning. This being was wearing an old vintage police hat, and with some kind of white facial shield covering his face from the nose down. He was either very tall or floating, because his head almost reached my ceiling, which is probably nine feet high. I only saw his upper body, and he was looking down at me. He looked like some kind of extra terrestrial policeman or military agent spying on me. He was definitely not human, and very intimidating in appearance. So that’s two flash images this month.

I spoke with a friend today about my flash images, and he pointed out something that I hadn’t considered. He said that the woman hovering and turning to the left and then vanishing, and the man with the hood turning to the left and vanishing may represent the left hand path, since they turned to the left. This is interesting, and something I hadn’t considered. I had thought about why they turned to the left, and told my friend that perhaps there is a portal they use on the left, but he pointed out that turning to the left may symbolize the left hand path. That’s an interesting connection.

Your friend makes a good point and theory. I hadn’t thought about that. The more I think about this, the LHP is often called the sinister path or dark path. Spirits of such nature, that are lingering close enough to cross over into our realm, would be either lost souls in the “dark” or simply coming through from the darker realm or hidden realm. In this context, it would make sense that the doorway/portal they use to enter into our realm would be located in the left direction. Or, making the appear to the left side to the one who is able to see them or whom they are purposely appearing to. Hope my wording is making sense. Maybe these spirits are coming to check on you to see if you are turning to the left path or maybe they are showing you that they are lost souls trapped in the realm of the left way (usually the left door, the left side is equated to the devil) so they are maybe enslaved to the outskirts of the devil’s realm as some sort of punishment. Meaning they are not of the higher realms but not accepted into the lower realms either, so they are left to wander on the outskirts in a sort of grey space. Something fascinating to ponder upon.

Thanks for these interesting insights. The left that they turn to has a whole row of apartment units and neighborhood houses. So I was thinking that maybe when they leave to the left, they are returning to a unit or house where someone is doing witchcraft or summoning spirits, or maybe there is a cemetery over in that direction that they return to. It’s all really interesting and mysterious. It is an unsettling experience to wake-up seeing a being nearly nine feet tall with an old police hat and a white face shield standing there looking down at me. He looked like something from a Sci-Fi movie, or from Star Wars, or some kind of Extra-Terrestrial super soldier spy, or a demon solder from Satan himself spying on me. This was a very intimidating being. Interestingly, he didn’t turn to the left when he disappeared. Only the woman and the man with the beanie turned to the left when they vanished. I hope to have more of these experiences.
